I was producing a record by the Kauai Boys, Titus Kinimaka (7th best big wave surfer in the world at the time), Keoni Mahuka and Tommy Tokioka) and Buddy was slated to play on it.
The owner of the studio (Kludgett Sound, Cerrillos, NM)poached them, and not only recorded their record, but told me I was obligated to use the time I had booked for the Kauai Boys.
Buddy Emmons was slated to overdub on the Kauai Boys' record and when that went south, I recorded the basic tracks for "Paris".
I brought the 24 track tape to Hilltop Studios, in Madison, TN., and added Buddy.
