Re: Let's Write a Song !!
Some of y'all may remember that - almost exactly 10 years ago - the late Chris Ivey started this thread to create a crowd-sourced set of lyrics for a new song. I jumped on the bandwagon, contributing a bunch of lyrics and several others also pitched in. I never forgot about the song lyrics but wasn't in a position to do anything with them until the advent of high-quality AI music software. I don't want to get into a big philosophical debate about the pros and cons of AI music but I do think that creating an "in-house" demo of what this song could have become is a fine use of the tool. (You'll have to buy me a beer to argue with me about that.)
In any case, I created one version in a country style and a second in a rock style (which I happen to think is more suitable for the lyrics but your taste may vary). Here they are, offered in memory of Chris Ivey and his Baggy Spandex Productions!

Jim, that is awesome, I never saw this thread when it first came out. The country version is great. Send it to Steve Hinson to give to Randy Travis, it totally fits his style. He has done a few AI songs too .
I hope Chris is smiling down from heaven today. Great work!

No, but has done a few AI songs after his stroke, I just think his voice and style totally syncs with this song, I left a message on your phone, call me at your leisure!
